The Eden Amsterdam American Hotel offers 175 smoking and non-smoking Standard rooms, Deluxe rooms and Junior Suites. The hotel is an important example of architectural art nouveau and has been a listed building since 1972. Its outer graciousness extends to the guest rooms, which still feature original stained-glass windows and vanities lined with an elegant granite surface. Most hotel guest rooms were renovated in the winter of 2007. Starting from January 2008, we will only have non smoking rooms. Cafe Americain - The Cafe Americain as you see her today was opened in 1902. The Tiffany lamps, the murals featuring Shakespeare's Midsummer night's dreams and the reading table are all original characteristics of the Cafe Americain. For over a hundred years the Cafe Americain has been and still is a place to meet for writers, musicians, actors and other artist and above all for the local population and international visitors. The Cafe Americain is the only Art Deco styled restaurant in Amsterdam. We would like you to visit to experience the charm and beauty of the Cafe.
