The 5-star standard Guangzhou Oriental Resort is a luxury-class nature resort hotel with 220 rooms and villas, located at the foot of scenic Baiyun Mountain (White Cloud Mountain) facing Dajinzhong Lake, just outside of downtown Guangzhou. Set amongst 28 square kilometers of lush green landscape, the Oriental Resort was recently renovated in 2005 and offers a perfect combination of business/conference and tourism/leisure facilities. The nature surroundings, the lakeside driving range, the various tennis courts, a big outdoor swimming pool, and several hiking treks make the Oriental Resort the number one nature resort hotel in Guangzhou. Offering pure nature, the resort is at the same time close to the CBD of Guangzhou, which can be reached in only 15-20 minutes. The impressive 28 square kilometer garden area includes: - White Cloud Mountain: belonging to a subtropical climate area and displaying abundant vegetation including up to 876 various kinds of plants. - Dajinzhong Lake: originally built for irrigated farming, now the lake is a beautiful feature of the area, with the water flowing into the lake from Baiyun Mountain s spring and from natural rainfall. - Greenery Milk Spring: During the Qing dynasty, Taoist YuanBai discovered a "singing-and-ringing" fountain in the green forest of White Cloud Mountain. Wu Rongguang, governor of Hunan province at that time, gave it the name "greenery milk". The Guangzhou Oriental Resort set in picturesque surroundings, is located at the foot of scenic Mount Baiyun and fronts secluded Dajinzhong Lake on one side. It is only 15-20 minutes to the CBD of Guangzhou and the Liuhua Canton Fair complex can be reached in 15 minutes. Distance to: - CECF Liuhua Complex: 15 minutes (7 km) - CECF Pazhou Complex: 30 minutes (30 km) - Guangzhou New Baiyun International Airport: 35 minutes (approx. 28 km) by taxi (about RMB 100), or alternatively, take the Airport Express (Line 4 or Short Line 8) to Guangyuan Bus Station, about RMB 15. - Guangzhou Railway Station: 15 minutes (7 km) by taxi, or by No.850 bus - Guangzhou Eastern Railway Station: 20-25 minutes (20 km) by taxi, or by No.245 bus then switching to No.263 bus. - Guangzhou-Kowloon Station: 15 km During the CECF Canton Fair, the hotel offers free shuttle buses to Pazhou Complex and Liuhua Complex.
