Maryculter House Hotel, Aberdeen Situated on tthe banks of the famous River Dee, this collection of buildings is steeped in Scottish History. Dating back to the 12th Century, clearly documented through King JOhn, Bonnie Prince Charlie and even the Titanic Disaster, this was at one time the homelamd of the Knights Templar, who gave pilgrams protected passage on their way to the Holy Land. The House became a Hotel shortly after World War II and has been undergoing a programme of refurbishment for the past couple of years. Dine in either of our quality restaurants. The Priory room provides a splendid setting for a candlelit dinner, with its stone walls, open fire and intimate atmosphere. Dine from our a la carte menu specially prepared by our Maitre Chef de Cuisine using only the finest fresh local produce. With its old world charm, character and home from home atmosphere, Poachers is a wonderful restaurant in which to sample the delights from our exclusive menu either for lunch or dinner, whilst enjoying breathtaking views over the River Dee. In the Summer, patio seating is available overlooking our beautiful landscaped gardens.
