Scandic Opalen is a first-class hotel with 242 rooms, perfectly situated in the vibrant heart of the city. It is close to the exhibition centre, the Congress Hall and the city centre with its shopping, theatre district and the famous Liseberg amusement park. Facilities at the hotel include a restaurant with a nightclub and bar, 16 meeting rooms, a sauna, a dedicated ladies’ floor and a playroom for children.

Standard Room - Standard Room
Scandic Opalen has 242 rooms, of which 118 are Standard rooms. All the Standard rooms have a workplace with a telephone, a socket for modem, iron, hairdryer, cable TV and bathtub. Single Standard rooms are situated on the upper floors of the hotel with a nice view, while doubles are situated lower down.
Suite - Suite
Complimentary minibar with soft drinks. A piccolo bottle of sparkling wine is included. Bathrobe provided for use during the stay. All suites with Jacuzzi bathtub. All suites with two bathrooms, one private and one for guests.
Economy Room - Other room type than std, dlx, ste, ... etc.
Scandic Opalen has 242 rooms, of which 72 are Economy rooms. All Economy rooms are 13 square meters and have a view over Ullevi or Gårda. 54 of our 72 economy rooms have an extra bed that can be folded down from the wall. All rooms have a bathtub, a workplace with a telephone and a socket for modem. They also have iron, hairdryer and cable TV.

The Opalen restaurant, where we serve breakfast, a la carte lunch and dinner, offers a gastronomic adventure and entertaining theme nights and is the perfect place to visit before or after a trade fair or event. The hotel restaurant is also well suited for both smaller and larger parties and banquets. A stage and a room with seating for 300 guests make it perfect as a kick-off venue for an event, while for private functions the Särö conference room is connected to the restaurant and has additional room for 140 guests.

The hotel is located between the Ullevi stadium, the Svenska Mässan and the fashionable Avenyn Street. It is close to the exit from the E6/E20 motorway, 25 km from the airport, 1 km from the train station and 100–200 metres from the buses and trams. Exit from the E6/E20 motorway at the Ullevimotet exit. Follow signs for Centrum and then signs for Scandinavium. After approximately 500 metres you'll see the hotel on your left-hand side.
