Our Saratoga bed and breakfast, the Saratoga Rose Inn and Restaurant, with its unique location between Lake George and Saratoga Springs in the southern Adirondack Park is easily accessible from the New York and Boston metropolitan areas in about 3.5 hours, and from Montr?al in 2.5. The 18 mile drive to nearby Saratoga Springs and the 10 miles to Lake George make this rural hilltop bordered by two rivers a wonderfully convenient location for a beautiful, romantic, 1885, Queen Anne Victorian. From the Saratoga Rose's sweeping veranda to its spiraling tower, to its garden gazebo, "The Rose" seems to stand watch over her pristine mountain setting. Detached Bathroom - Situated in the Mansion this romantically decorated room was the Master Bedroom when the house was built, and still has original stained glass windows, hardwood parquet floor, 19th century wallpaper, and lovely views of the front gardens. A 19th Century French armoire with triple beveled mirrors, an antique loveseat, end tables and chairs complete the setting for the king size bed, all designed to take you back to a quieter time. The private bath for the Queen Anne Room is across from the entrance to the room.

This large unique room, located on the ground level of the Carriage House, adjacent to the Mansion, is outfitted as an Adirondack cabin with oak hardwood floor, log walls and a floor to ceiling river stone fireplace. It has a king size bed, 400 thread 100% cotton sheets, plush towels, a carved pine armoire and dresser, and comes equipped with TV, refrigerator, coffee maker and hair-drier. Regional artworks adorn the walls. It is a beautiful relaxing room, perfect for the Inn's wooded setting.
Garden - Suite
This bright, large room in the Mansion is a suite overlooking the forest and gardens. It features a separate sitting room with a TV, refrigirator and the original hardwood parquet floor. Beyond the French doors, is a private outside deck with a full-size hot tub overlooking the gardens. Into this room with Victorian floral wallpapers Richard and Claude have brought a period style dark cherry wood queen size 4 poster bed and dresser with inlaid green marble. They've added 600 thread 100% cotton sheets, plush towels and Egyptian Matelasse bed coverings for wonderfully comfortable sleeping. The bath comes equipped with a hair-drier.

The room also boasts the largest of our private baths and several period furniture pieces. More simply done than the other rooms, it provides a delightful setting for your escape.
Colorado - Deluxe Room
This secluded room on the second floor of the Carriage House, adjacent to the Mansion, has a private outside deck with a full-size hot tub overlooking the Victorian gardens. It has been remodeled by Claude and Richard with furnishings acquired during the years they lived on the Front Range in Colorado. Richard's faux finished walls and the oak hardwood floor provide the setting for a rustic pine and black iron king size bed with matching dresser and end tables, 600 thread 100% cotton sheets, plush towels, hand-painted furniture pieces, Navajo and Zuni wall hangings, beautiful hand-crafted mirrors, oil rubbed bronze bath accessories, reproduction Gall? table lamps, and wonderful images of the Southwest. This room features skylights and comes equipped with TV, refrigerator, coffee maker and hair-drier. For comfort, ambience, and Southwestern elegance, it's the Colorado Room.
