Savegre Hotel, Cartago
Savegre Hotel is an Eco-Lodge that offers to the visitor an experience of natural beautiful and excellent service. The hotel has 41 rooms, 17 of them are Junior Suites and 24 are Standard. The Junior Suite rooms have bath with tub, fireplace or electrical heater, and a small internal porch; the Standards have private bathroom and electrical heating system. The hotel offers a private reserve of 400 acres, where the diversity of trails is gateway to discover the natural beauties of the area. Bird watching is with no doubt the main attraction, in the property have been recorded more than 180 species of birds. Comming from San Jose, you must take the Panamerican Highway (route 2), like going to San Isidro del General. In that route you keep driving until you see the kilometer 80 mark (also you will see a sign that said San Gerardo de Dota 9 km) there you take a turn to the right hand side and drive for 9 more kilometers. The hotel is located at the right hand side, just passing the second bridge.
